EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) is a search service that allows the user to search across all databases and full-text e-content available at Northeast Health Wangaratta in one search location. The results will be from both NHW collections and the Clinicians Health Channel resources. It is an easy search option to locate full text content available locally in a short space of time. However we do not recommend the use of EDS for comprehensive searching - it is "Best Practice" to search each individual database separately.
EBSCO are redesigning the Discovery search and user interface to meet ever-evolving user expectations for accessing, searching, choosing and using the library’s resources. They are introducing many new features including personalized dashboards, new ways to share and like resources, reading eBooks, and much more. The new EDS interface (UI) has been redesigned and presents users with new, intuitive ways to refine, navigate, like and share search results. In addition, a Concept Map has been introduced, a visual representation of related subjects and concepts for users to further explore research areas of interest.
