The Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) app contains paediatric emergency algorithms produced by Advanced Paediatric Life Support, Australia, for medical professionals working in acute care in Australia.

 RCH Clinical Practice Guidelines

The RCH Clinical Practice Guidelines free app enables you to search and browse more than two hundred clinical practice guidelines and they can be viewed offline. 

 RCH Emergency Nurse Practitioner

This RCH Emergency Nurse Practitioner app provides in-depth guides on paediatric assessment, common diagnostic findings, and important red flags to observe for in practice. Download the free App free for either iOS or Android devices.

 ​eTG Complete

From a work computer sign up for an access token here. You will be emailed a token which can be used on only ONE device. When you have downloaded the app choose "institutional user login" then log in using your email and your token.  To allow for full offline use, click the Cloud icon in the top right hand corner of the app and download content.  Then locate the menu icon in the top left hand corner, choose settings and switch the app offline switch on. You will be prompted to download new content when the guidelines are updated.

 MIMS Mobile

Go to  MIMS Mobile from a work computer. Follow the prompts to register for an Enterprise Token. When you receive your token download the App to your phone and enter the token as instructed.

 BMJ Best Practice

Go to BMJ Best Practice from a work computer. Create a personal account. Use the username and password that you create to log in when you download the App to your phone.

​ ClinicalKey 

Go to ClinicalKey from a NHW networked computer and click the Register button in the upper right corner of the screen to create your own username and password.  Once you have registered you can download the App to your phone or access from any computer offsite by searching for ClinicalKey.  Choose the first ClinicalKey version (we are not subscribed to the others) and log in using your registered username and password.  Alternatively, you can use your Athens username and password rather than registering.

​CALD Assist™ - Apple only

CALD Assist™ offers a simple and dynamic way for nursing staff and allied health clinicians to communicate with patients from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds when an interpreter is not available

 UpToDate Anywhere 

Go to UpToDate from a NHW networked computer and click the Register button in the upper right corner of the screen to create your own username and password. In order to maintain uninterrupted access to UpToDate you must re-verify every 90 days (you will be prompted with an email). Simply go to UpToDate on any work computer and click the Log In button in the upper right corner of the screen.  Once you have registered you can download the App to your phone or access from any computer offsite by searching for UpToDate and logging in.
